Cerqueto

Cerqueto is a small mountain village about 20 km from the Prati di Tivo ski slopes. Probably founded during the barbarian invasions of the Italian Peninsula, it enjoys an enchanting location within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.

For example, a visit can be made during the Christmas season, when Cerqueto hosts the Living Nativity Scene event, a recurring event for years. The performance, attended by many visitors, has become popular throughout Abruzzo.
